The Diving Association of Montenegro is a full member of the World Diving Federation CMAS and the Montenegrin Olympic Committee.
It was founded in 1994, and thanks to the activities in the field of international cooperation developed by the Diving Association of Montenegro, the Montenegrin Association of Diving Instructors, and especially in the last five years, the Regional Center for Diver Training for Underwater Demining, Rescue and Control at Sea, Montenegrin diving has become recognizable in world associations, as evidenced by the world awards and recognitions received by our divers.

Diving Association of Montenegro
Organized by the Teaching Commission of the Diving Association of Montenegro and the Akvanaut Diving Club from Podgorica, training for scuba diving instructors and divers for NITROX gas mixtures was held in Bijela from November 23 to December 8, 2019.
The training was implemented in accordance with international standards and represents a continuation of the continuous improvement of divers in Montenegro. After the successfully completed program, the association is richer for three new instructors and ten NITROX divers.
The newly acquired knowledge and skills of the participants will contribute to the development of diving sports, the protection of underwater cultural heritage, as well as the improvement of rescue activities and water safety.

The Diving Association of Montenegro organizes training for sport diving instructors and divers in accordance with CMAS standards, for:
- Two Star Instructor (I2 / M2)
- One Star Instructor (I1 / M1)
- Three Star Diver (R3 / P3)
Also, training is organized according to the standards of the International Association for Nitrox and Technical Divers (IANTD):
- OW Nitrox ronilac (OW Nitrox Diver)

Diving Association of Montenegro
The XXXV CMAS Euro-African Spearfishing Championship is one of the most important international sports competitions in this discipline.
The event brings together the best athletes, national teams and expert delegations from Europe and Africa, providing a platform for top sporting results and international cooperation.
The competition is organized under the auspices of the CMAS World Federation and aims to promote the sport, exchange experiences and improve standards in spearfishing.
