On November 9, 2019, a state competition in underwater orienteering was held in Baošići (Herceg Novi), in accordance with the pre-defined propositions and rules of the Diving Association of Montenegro. Eight competitors from five diving clubs participated in the competition.
The competition took place in the spirit of sporting competition and a high level of preparedness of the participants, who demonstrated precision and safety in one of the most demanding diving disciplines.
First place was won by Milan Radović from the KPi Akvanat club (Podgorica), with a time of 07:55.58, achieving the best result of the competition. Second place went to Luka Vuković from the Plava Planeta club (Kotor), while third place was taken by Danijel Đorđević from the Adriatic Blue club (Herceg Novi).
The rest of the rankings were filled by Željko Vukićević from the KPi Akvanat club (Podgorica), Marko Mijajlović from the Posejdon club (Herceg Novi) and Dušan Vukojević from the Plava Planeta club (Kotor), who also achieved notable results.
Some competitors did not finish the race in accordance with the rules, and disqualifications were recorded, which further confirms the demanding nature of the discipline and the importance of precise adherence to the rules.
This competition once again demonstrated the continuity of the development of underwater orienteering in Montenegro, as well as the dedication of clubs and competitors to improving the sport of diving.
