Results of the national championship in underwater disciplines 2021

On November 5, 2021, at the indoor swimming pool of the sports center in Nikšić, the national championship in underwater disciplines was held in accordance with the rules of the international organization CMAS. Six clubs of the Diving Association of Montenegro participated in the competition, which confirms the continued interest and development of this sport at the national level.

The competition included three disciplines: 50-meter freestyle diving, 50-meter freestyle swimming and 100-meter freestyle swimming. Each discipline required a high level of physical fitness, technical precision and the ability to manage energy during the performance.

In the 50-meter free diving event, Željko Vukićević from the Akvanat club (Podgorica) won first place with a time of 25.09 seconds. Second place went to Predrag Polovina from the Adriatic Blue club (Herceg Novi), while third place went to Vojin Jovović from the Plava Planeta club (Kotor).

In the 50-meter speed swimming race, Željko Vukićević also won with a time of 26.24 seconds. Second place went to Predrag Polovina, while third place went to Marko Mijajlović from the Posejdon club (Bijela).

In the 100-meter speed finswimming event, Željko Vukićević once again took first place with a time of 1:04.06. Second place went to Vojin Jovović from the Plava Planeta club, while third place went to Stefan Gvozdenović from the Akvanat club (Podgorica).

The results of the competition indicate a high level of preparedness of the competitors and the continuity of the development of underwater sports in Montenegro. Of particular note is the dominant performance of individuals who achieved top results in several disciplines, which further confirmed the quality of work in diving clubs.
