On December 4, 2020, at the indoor pool of the sports center in Budva, the national championship in underwater disciplines was held in accordance with the rules of the international organization CMAS. The competition brought together clubs from different cities in Montenegro, including Montenegro from Čanj, Plava Planeta from Kotor, Akvanat from Podgorica, Adriatic Blue and Posejdon from Herceg Novi, as well as a club from Ulcinj.
The competition included three disciplines: 50-meter freestyle diving, 50-meter freestyle swimming and 100-meter freestyle swimming. Each discipline required a high level of physical fitness, technical precision and proper energy management.
In the 50-meter free diving discipline, first place was won by Boško Radulović from the Akvanat club (Podgorica) with a time of 25.75 seconds. Second place went to Željko Vukićević from the same club, while third place was taken by Milan Radović from the Montenegro club (Čanj).
Boško Radulović dominated again in the 50-meter freestyle swimming race, achieving a time of 25.56 seconds. The second place was taken by Željko Vukićević, while the third place went to Milan Radović.
The longest event, the 100-meter speed finswimming, brought another victory to Boško Radulović with a time of 1:00 minutes. Second place went to Nikola Cvitković from the Adriatic Blue club (Herceg Novi), while third place went to Željko Vukićević from the Akvanat club.
The results of the competition clearly indicate the high level of preparation of the competitors and the continuous development of underwater sports in Montenegro. The dominance of individual competitors further confirms the quality of work in the clubs and the dedication of the athletes competing at the national level.
